Rabat – Moroccan forward Amine Sbai has officially joined Ligue 1 side Angers on a two-year contract running until 2027, following the end of his spell with Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League.
The 24-year-old left winger arrives as a free agent and is expected to strengthen Angers’ attacking options, which have struggled this season with just three goals in seven matches.
During the 2024–2025 campaign, Sbai made 28 appearances for Al-Fateh, contributing five goals and four assists. His pace, direct style, and ability to create chances made him a key player in the Saudi side’s attack.

Sbaï began his professional journey in France, playing for FC Sète before signing his first pro contract with Grenoble in Ligue 2.
Angers confirmed that the new signing is set to make his Ligue 1 debut on October 18, when the team hosts AS Monaco.
Angers are ranked 17th in Ligue 1 after 7 matches. They won once, drew twice, and lost four times. With only 3 goals scored and 11 conceded, by signing Sbaï, Angers hope to strengthen their attack and avoid relegation.
