Real Madrid players have received their new BMW cars for the 2024/25 season as part of the club’s ongoing partnership with the German carmaker.

Brahim Díaz chose the BMW XM, a powerful plug-in hybrid SUV worth around $210,000. He was joined by teammates Thibaut Courtois, Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, Ferland Mendy and young defender Huijsen, who also picked the same model.

The most popular choice overall was the fully electric BMW i7, which costs between $142,000 and $210,000. Manager Xabi Alonso selected it, along with stars like Vinicius Jr., Kylian Mbappé, Dani Carvajal, Éder Militão, Antonio Rüdiger, Endrick, Arda Güler, Rodri and Marco Asensio.

Some players went for other models. Young midfielder Mastantuono chose the i4, which starts at around $53,000. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Eduardo Camavinga picked the iX SUV, priced over $84,000. Goalkeeper Andriy Lunin opted for the petrol-powered BMW M5, worth more than $168,000.

The handover took place at Real Madrid’s training ground in Valdebebas, where BMW has installed 80 electric chargers to support the fully electric and hybrid fleet. Players use the cars throughout the season and can buy them if they wish at the end.

The partnership between Real Madrid and BMW began in July 2022, replacing the club’s 19-year deal with Audi. It goes beyond just providing cars. BMW supplies electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles to the men’s and women’s football and basketball teams, and the coaching staff.

The car options include the iX, i4, iX1, i5, i7 and the XM. In 2023, the women’s team received their first electric BMWs, mainly the iX1 compact SUV.

The partnership also focuses on sustainability. BMW and Real Madrid have launched the “NEXT Sustainability Trophy” to promote green innovation and co-hosted events such as the “Rethink The Game” conference at the Santiago Bernabéu, which focused on environmental and social issues.

BMW’s logo is now a regular presence across the club’s media and at its facilities, including the training complex and the newly renovated Bernabéu.
