Pyramids team news
The CAF Champions League winners will be hoping to add another continental trophy to what has already been a pretty historic year for the club, but coach Krunoslav Jurcic has got a number of injury worries to deal with.
- Injuries: Mahmoud Marei and Walid El Karti (muscular injury), Osama Galal (tendon issue until), and Ramadan Sobhi remains a doubt.
- Tactical tweaks: Krunoslav Jurcic should stick with his tried and tested approach of keeping the ball on the deck and using the width of the pitch.
Pyramids will look to move the ball all over the pitch swiftly, deploy some overlap from their full-backs, and put the opposition under pressure from set pieces ,  they’ve shown this to be a particularly effective tactic under Jurcic.
Predicted lineup:  El Shenawy, Chibi, Marei, Samy,  Hamdi, Lasheen, Blati Touré, Fathi, El Karti, El Sayed, Mayele.
RS Berkane team news
Under Tunisian coach Mouin Chaabani, Berkane come into the Super Cup as a well-oiled and disciplined team. The Moroccan side has a wealth of experience in the knockout phase and has shown that they can handle the pressure of being on the road.
- Injuries : Soumaila Sidibe (minor injury), Yassine Labhiri (knee ligament injury).
- Tactical tweaks: Mouin Chaabani is likely to stick with a tight formation, having his team sit deep, spring a few quick presses, and then hit Pyramids on the counter. Berkane will be the bedrock of the defence, marshalling a well-disciplined unit in front of them.
Predicted lineup: Munir, Manaout, Kandouss, Assal, Moussaoui, Mehri, Khairi, Mamadou Camara, Chouiar, Bassene, Machach.
What to expect
Both sides are missing important players so this sets up for a tactical game now.
Backed by their home fans, Pyramids should be on the front foot from the get-go, looking to pin Berkane back and create scoring opportunities through their quick-witted wide play, and the overlap of their full-backs.
Berkane, though, will be looking to contain their opponents in a very organised, structured way with coach Mouin Chaâbani having drilled them spot on for staying compact, springing into counter attacks and making the most of their set pieces .
With neither side having their full set of players available this final is bound to be a cautious, finely balanced match. It will most likely be decided on the back of minute details  with a defensive slip-up – either a moment of sheer class, or one perfectly executed set piece.
Safe calls
- Under 3.5 Goals: Finals tend to see both teams stick to a tried and tested, low-risk game plan
- Pyramids to win or draw: Home advantage, plus their form in the Champions League gives them a slight edge over Berkane.
- Both Teams to Score: Yes, Berkane can find openings on the counter, though Pyramids’ defensive record remains solid.
- Score prediction: Pyramids 2–1 RS Berkane.
