Ismael Saibari scored a stunning hat-trick as PSV Eindhoven edged Feyenoord 3-2 in a pulsating Eredivisie game at De Kuip on Sunday.
The Moroccan international opened the scoring on the half-hour mark, finishing smartly with the outside of his boot after being set up by Mauro Junior.

Luciano Valente equalised for Feyenoord early in the second half, but Saibari restored PSV’s lead moments later, combining with Guus Til before firing into the top corner.
The 23-year-old completed his hat-trick on the hour in spectacular fashion, lobbing goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther from the edge of the area.
Despite late goals from Valente and Oussama Targhalline, PSV held on for the win, moving level on 25 points with Feyenoord at the top of the Eredivisie table.
Manager Peter Bosz praised Saibari’s performance, calling him a “special” player. “Ismael is a special person and a special player. It’s wonderful to work with him,” Bosz said. “He has always been in scoring positions, that’s a great quality of his. Now he combines that with a high output. He’s very sociable, sometimes even too sociable. If he needs to rest, he still goes to see friends, for example. Out of kindness.”
Saibari has now scored six league goals this season and converted all three of his shots on target against Feyenoord.
Bosz suggested that the midfielder has the attributes to thrive in England. “If you analyse him, he has a certain physique that you need in England,” Bosz added. “A player like Florian Wirtz, for example, is struggling at Liverpool right now, and that could be partly due to his physique. Although I do think he’ll succeed.”
The PSV boss cautioned against focusing solely on Saibari, highlighting the team’s overall effort. “I think it’s dangerous to single out Ismael just because he scores. I could name more,” he said. “[Jerdy] Schouten, who helps with the ball, but also plays defensively against Ueda. This was truly a collective performance.”
Bosz also commended the atmosphere at De Kuip. “I think here at De Kuip, we’re 3-1 up, and it was pretty quiet, but then the whole stadium got behind us,” he said. “That does something to you as a footballer. I even get goosebumps when I’m on the sidelines when that happens. They really help the team get back on track.”
