Mohammedia – At a ceremony held at Technopolis Rabat, Orange Maroc unveiled its new generative AI platform, “Live Intelligence.” It is a milestone in the company’s overall strategy to empower Moroccan enterprises with secure, sovereign, and locally contextualized digital solutions.
The platform, built as a multi-LLM SaaS (Software as a Service) product, enables enterprises to generate content, process internal information, and automate business processes securely and efficiently.
It is backed by Orange Business Maroc Data & AI Competence Center, a Rabat-based specialized center employing over 1,000 professionals, including 120 artificial intelligence and data engineering experts. This platform positions Morocco as a rising pole of technological innovation and AI development in the global network of the Orange Group.
The initiative aligns with Morocco’s national digital transformation strategy, notably the “Maroc Digital 2030” vision, to create a sovereign, inclusive, and competitive digital economy.
During her address to the ceremony, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition, referred to the launch as “a concrete illustration of national momentum in terms of artificial intelligence.”
She emphasized that AI is now “a central support of the Kingdom’s administrative and economic transformation,” adding that Morocco’s ambition is “to establish a sovereign and competitive digital economy that benefits all.”
The minister also emphasized the state’s ongoing initiatives in leveraging enabler infrastructures, such as fiber-optic networks, 5G technology, and the upcoming national sovereign cloud, all of which play a crucial role in creating advanced AI solutions.
A responsible and sovereign vision for artificial intelligence
For Orange Maroc CEO Hendrik Kasteel, launching “Live Intelligence” reflects the group’s ambition to generalize access to artificial intelligence.
“Our ambition is clear: to make AI accessible, safe, and inclusive for all Moroccan companies—big, medium, and emerging,” he said. “Innovation is only worth its while when it is shared and responsible.”
Kasteel also spoke about the growing issue of “Shadow AI,” the improper use by workers of unregulated online AI tools that can lead to data leaks and privacy risks.
With “Live Intelligence”, we want to provide a secure and reliable alternative that gives businesses a boost while protecting Morocco’s digital sovereignty,” he continued.
Orange Business Services CEO Aliette Mousnier-Lompré shared similar sentiments, highlighting that digital trust and security form the pillars of AI deployment in business settings.
She described “Live Intelligence” as an autonomous alternative to public AI technologies, meant to combine innovation with absolute respect for data protection and national standards.
Already deployed in Europe and used by more than 90,000 users, the platform has achieved tangible increases in productivity, decision-making, and responsiveness of organizations.
Its deployment in Morocco is a significant move towards consolidating the country’s technological base and expanding the influence of accountable, data-sensitive AI solutions.
With the launch of “Live Intelligence,” Orange Maroc is acting as a pioneer for responsible digital transformation in the region.
The launch emphasizes the company as a strategic partner to Moroccan enterprises and public administrations that wish to digitalize without losing data sovereignty or ethical standards.
“Live Intelligence” represents Orange Maroc’s world vision of an AI working for humankind and advancement, innovatively and in the national interest.
With the new platform, Morocco makes another giant leap towards becoming a decisive force in the world of AI, where technological power and sovereignty go hand in hand.
