Rabat – The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed in positive territory today, with investors showing renewed appetite for blue-chip and mid-cap names after a series of cautious sessions earlier in the week.

The market opened firm and managed to maintain its momentum throughout the day, lifting key indices comfortably into the green.

The benchmark MASI rose 0.46% to 18,754.43 points, helped by broad buying interest across several sectors.

The MASI 20, which tracks the 20 most liquid stocks on the market, advanced 0.55% to 1,526.78 points, extending a slight recovery trend that has been building slowly over recent sessions.

The MASI ESG, which follows companies with top environmental, social, and governance scores as assessed by Moody’s ESG Solutions, also moved higher, gaining 0.57% to 1,270.46 points.

Smaller-cap names participated in the upturn as well. The MASI Mid and Small Cap index added 0.43% to 1,836.78 points, signaling a modest return of interest toward smaller and medium-sized listed companies.

Internationally, the tone was also supportive: the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 gained 0.41% to 17,820.02 points, while the FTSE CSE Morocco All-Liquid climbed 0.55% to 16,215.6 points, both echoing the upward movement of the local market.

Today’s gains suggested a growing interest in risk than earlier in the week, as investors shifted slightly away from defensive positioning. With several indices now stabilizing after recent fluctuations, market sentiment appeared cautiously optimistic heading into the end of the week.
