Morocco U17 Set to Face Brazil in the World Cup Quarter Finals

Morocco’s U‑17 national team will face Brazil in the quarterfinals of the FIFA U‑17 World Cup on Friday at Pitch seven in Doha.

Rabat – Morocco’s U‑17 national team will face Brazil in the quarterfinals of the FIFA U‑17 World Cup on Friday at Pitch seven in Doha.

Kick‑off is set for 16:45 GMT+1. The Atlas Cubs will arrive at this stage after a dramatic journey, while Brazil also had to fight hard to secure their place among the last eight.

The Atlas Cubs side began the tournament with mixed results in the group stage, including a heavy defeat to Portugal and Japan but a record 16–0 win over New Caledonia.

They advanced to the Round of 32, where they eliminated the United States on penalties after a 1–1 draw.

In the Round of 16, Morocco met Mali in a rematch of the 2023 U‑17 AFCON final. This time, the Atlas Cubs turned the tables, winning 3–2 thanks to goals from Ziyad Baha and Ismail El Aoud.

That victory booked Morocco’s first quarterfinal appearance since 2013. However, they will miss defender Ilyas Hadaoui who was suspended after two yellow cards.

Brazil entered the knockout stage after strong group performances, including a 5–0 win over Mexico.

In the Round of 16, they faced France in one of the tournament’s most tense matches. After a 1–1 draw.

Brazil held their nerve in a penalty shootout, winning 4–3. The five‑time U‑17 world champions now aim to extend their tradition of success, relying on their attacking depth and tournament experience.

Brazil’s danger in the U‑17 World Cup comes from their attack. Dell scored three goals in three games, making him their top scorer.

Ruan Pablo has two goals in three matches, showing his finishing ability inside the box. Midfielder Felipe Morais also scored two goals, proving Brazil can strike from midfield.

Angelo Candido has given two assists in three games, while Kayke Santos and Zé Lucas each added one assist. In defense,

Vitor Hugo, a tall centerback, has scored once and is strong on set pieces. With fast strikers, creative midfielders, and aerial strength, Brazil can score in different ways and punish any defensive mistake.

Friday’s match will be a test of spirit and skill. Brazil are a tough opponent, and beating them would be a major achievement for the U-17.

Morocco are aiming to reach the semi‑finals for the first time in their history, while Brazil wants to protect their long tradition of success.
