Rabat – Football enthusiasts have a big rendezvous with their screens, as the long-awaited draw for the 2026 World Cup group stage will take place today.

The draw will take place in the US in Washington, D.C. The ceremony will showcase the fate of 48 teams that will take part in the competition, which is co-hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico next year.

The event will take place at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. In Morocco, the draw ceremony will start at 6 p.m.

FIFA set four pots based on teams’ rankings and how they qualified. Each of the 12 groups will have one team from each pot.

Morocco, which comes in 11th place in the latest FIFA rankings,  is in the second pot alongside Croatia, Colombia, Uruguay, Switzerland, Japan, Senegal, Iran, South Korea, Ecuador, Austria, and Australia.

The first pot includes the co-hosts of the competitions, as well as Spain, Argentina, France, England, Brazil, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.

Fans seeking to watch the ceremony on their screens in Morocco can do so on Morocco’s Arriyadia TNT.

The channels that will air the ceremony include TF1 Info, L’Equipe, RMC, M6, and FIFA’s official YouTube channel.
