Rabat — The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Casablanca, part of Hassan II University, hosted Morocco’s third edition of the HSK Exhibition for Studies and Job Opportunities in China on Sunday. The event focused on academic pursuits and career prospects in the Asian country.
Hankou International Center organized the exhibition in partnership with Hassan II University of Casablanca and its Confucius Institute. The event aimed to strengthen academic, scientific, and professional exchange between Morocco and China, bringing together around 40 Chinese universities and nearly ten companies operating in Morocco.
The exhibition offered Moroccan students and visitors a unique opportunity to discover prestigious academic institutions and obtain detailed information about applying for scholarships in China.
Attendees can also connect directly with Chinese companies based in Morocco to explore available job opportunities, helping guide students toward international academic pathways and enhance their professional integration.
Chinese Ambassador to Morocco Yu Jingsong praised the efforts to organize the exhibition during her speech at the event. She spoke of how the event demonstrates the evolving cooperation between the two countries in various fields, particularly higher education, training, and culture.
Yu noted that many Chinese companies and educational institutions choosing to establish themselves in Morocco signals the strength of these relations.
The ambassador confirmed China’s readiness to boost cooperation with Morocco in higher education by welcoming Moroccan students to Chinese universities and institutes.
Hassan II University President Hussein Azdouk commended the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Casablanca for hosting this important exhibition. He explained that the event aligns with the university’s strategy to enhance academic, scientific, and cultural cooperation between Morocco and China.
Azdouk stressed that the university hosting the exhibition for the second consecutive year reflects the depth of partnership between Moroccan and Chinese universities. The collaboration aims to introduce Moroccan students to study options and job opportunities in China.
Azdouk also revealed that Hassan II University’s Confucius Institute received the “Exceptional Partner of HSK Exhibition 2025” award in Beijing last November. The institute earned this recognition for its ongoing commitment to promoting the Chinese language and organizing the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) in Morocco.
He added that the continued organization of the HSK exhibition and the recognition the institute received, confirm the central role of Hassan II University of Casablanca and its institute in developing academic and scientific cooperation between Morocco and China.
Representatives from participating Chinese universities noted that the number of Moroccan students in China has grown significantly in recent years. They noted that this exhibition provided an exceptional opportunity for young Moroccan students to obtain detailed information about available courses and registration procedures for studying in China.
