Rabat – Herve Renard, coach of Saudi Arabia, spoke highly of Morocco’s national team after his side lost 1–0 in the final group stage match of the Arab Cup.
The French manager, who previously worked in Morocco for several years, expressed admiration for the country’s football system and its progress.
Renard said he felt fortunate to have coached in Morocco in the past, noting that the federation has continued to grow stronger.
The 57-year-old manager stressed the leadership of the Moroccan Football Association and described its work as impressive. According to him, Morocco is now among the best teams in the world, with one of the strongest football structures globally.
He added that his praise was not an exaggeration. In his words, “Even Brazil fear your team. I wish you success in the Africa Cup of Nations.” Renard stressed that the team’s quality and consistency make it a serious contender on the international stage.
The coach concluded his remarks by wishing Morocco success in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations. He stated that the squad can win the tournament, given its talent, organization, and determination.
Morocco’s victory over Saudi Arabia secured their place at the top of the group and reinforced their reputation as one of the strongest sides in the competition.
