Rabat– Spanish airline Vueling announced a significant expansion of its flight program on Thursday, unveiling new direct routes connecting Spain to several key cities in Morocco, including Nador, Fez, Marrakech, and Tangier.
The move reflects Vueling’s strategic focus on strengthening connectivity between Spanish airports and Morocco, which the airline considers a priority market and a central pillar in its growth plans.
Starting soon, Vueling will operate direct flights from Barcelona to Nador and Fez. The Nador route will run regularly, with increased frequencies during the summer season to accommodate higher demand. Meanwhile, the Barcelona–Fès connection will enhance access to Morocco’s spiritual capital, bringing the total number of Moroccan destinations served from Barcelona to five.
Vueling is also expanding Moroccan routes from other Spanish bases. From Santiago de Compostela, passengers will gain a new direct link to Marrakech, while Alicante will inaugurate a direct service to Tangier. Additionally, the Barcelona–Agadir line will now operate year-round, ensuring consistent connectivity for travelers.
Last month, Spanish airline Vueling launched a new route connecting Barcelona and Agadir.
The inaugural flight took off on Sunday, and the service will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
This new route is part of Vueling’s winter schedule and broader expansion strategy to strengthen international connections from Barcelona.
This expansion highlights Vueling’s commitment to connecting Spain and Morocco, supporting tourism and business travel, and meeting the growing demand for air travel between the two countries.
