Mohammedia – The Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication’s Department of Communication will host the third edition of the Morocco Gaming Expo from Wednesday, May 20 to Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the Sofitel Jardin des Roses in Rabat.

The event is positioned as a major national gathering for gaming enthusiasts, industry professionals, and eSports competitors from across the country.

Building on the momentum of previous editions, the 2026 expo is held under the theme “Moroccan Talent,” with a focus on highlighting Moroccan creativity, innovation, and expertise in gaming and eSports.

Organizers say the event aims to reflect the rapid growth of the sector and its increasing role within the national digital and creative economy.

A platform for Morocco’s gaming ecosystem

At the center of the expo will be an interactive exhibition platform designed to showcase the full spectrum of Morocco’s gaming ecosystem.

The space will bring together public institutions, startups, funding operators, professional federations, foundations, hardware manufacturers, telecom operators, training providers, and cloud gaming services.

Through live demonstrations, project showcases, and professional meetings, the platform is intended to facilitate collaboration between creators, investors, and industry stakeholders, while offering visitors a comprehensive view of the sector’s current capabilities and future potential.

Five forums driving industry dialogue

Morocco Gaming Expo 2026 will host five major forums addressing key dimensions of the gaming industry. These include:

  • The Government Forum focused on public policy and international cooperation.
  • The Business Forum centered on investment and economic models.
  • The Game Safe Forum dedicated to ethics and security.
  • The Game Engine Forum exploring development technologies.
  • The Developers Forum designed for programmers, artists, and creators.

Each forum will feature panels, workshops, and masterclasses led by Moroccan and international experts, offering structured spaces for knowledge exchange and professional development.

National eSports tournaments take center stage

A major highlight of the expo will be the eSports Tournaments Platform, described by organizers as the competitive heart of the event.

The platform will host national tournaments across four titles played on different platforms: Free Fire on mobile, EA SPORTS FC 25 on console, and Valorant and Street Fighter 6 on PC.

The tournaments will begin with online qualification phases open exclusively to Moroccan players and teams, followed by live grand finals during the expo. All final matches will be broadcast live across multiple platforms.

Tournament formats and prize pools

The Free Fire tournament will run from May 2 to June 19, 2025, featuring 1,200 teams of four players competing in a battle royale format, with a total prize pool of MAD 200,000 ($21,907.50).

EA SPORTS FC 25 will take place from May 4 to June 12, 2025, bringing together 1,536 players across three qualifiers and offering MAD 100,000 ($10,953.75) in prizes.

Street Fighter 6 will follow a one-versus-one format from May 8 to June 11, 2025, with 768 players and a prize pool of MAD 100,000 ($10,953.75).

Valorant will be played in a five-versus-five team format from May 6 to June 10, 2025, involving 384 teams and a total cash prize of MAD 100,000 ($10,953.75).

The expo will be open to the public daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., subject to registration, while exhibitors will have access from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Over five days, Morocco Gaming Expo 2026 is expected to serve as a national meeting point for competition, innovation, and dialogue around the future of gaming in Morocco.
