Rabat – Morocco welcomed 19.8 million tourists in 2025, representing a 14% increase compared to the number recorded in the previous year.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, this record-breaking performance confirms the strong upward momentum of Morocco’s hospitality industry and marks a new chapter in the country’s development of this vital sector.

The ministry celebrated the new figures, emphasizing that Morocco is approaching, for the first time, the threshold of 20 million tourists.

Morocco also reported a record tourism revenue, which reached MAD 124 billion by the end of November 2025. This performance reflects an increase of 19% compared to 2024.

Welcoming nearly 20 million tourists last year “reflects the profound transformation underway in Moroccan tourism, thanks to the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI,” said Minister of Tourism Fatim-Zahra Ammor.

Morocco’s tourism sector is more efficient, more sustainable, and capable of creating value across regions, she added.

The country welcomed 17.5 million tourists last year, and it plans to almost double that number as it works toward hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup with Portugal and Spain.

In a statement, Fatim-Zahra Ammor’s ministry stressed that the new record reached in 2025 is a new milestone that opens opportunities in line with Morocco’s vision to welcome 26 million tourists by 2030.
