Rabat — Senegal and Mali are meeting tonight in a decisive AFCON quarterfinal game at the Grand Stade de Tanger.
The game will take place at 5 p.m. Moroccan time, with this being the second time both teams are meeting in the AFCON final rounds.
Their previous encounter came in 2004 during the Group Stage, with the match finishing with a 1-1 draw.
In all competitions, the two teams played 40 times, with Senegal winning 19 matches, Mali winning eight games, and 13 games ending in draws.
BeIN Sports will air the match, in addition to Fubo, E4, FanCode, and SuperSport.
Mali is expected to deploy its key players like Diarra, Diaby, Dante, Traore, Camara, Doumbia, Nene, and Dieng.
For Senegal, Mendy is expected to top the list, alongside Diatta, Niakhate, Koulibaly, Jakobs, and Mane.
The winner tonight will be the first to secure a spot in the semi-finals.
Tonight’s fixtures will also include the much-anticipated quarterfinal match between Morocco and Cameroon.
The game will take place at 8 p.m. Moroccan time at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
