Rabat – Telecommunication provider Maroc Telecom said its turnover for 2025 reached MAD 36.7 billion ($4 billion), representing an increase of 1.4% compared to 2024.
The group attributed the performance to the growth of international activity, which was up by 5.3%. It also touted the resilience of operations in Morocco.
Maroc Telecom said its revenue in the fourth quarter last year increased by 2.1%, attributing this to the performance of Moov Africa subsidiaries.
It acknowledged the slight growth of revenues in Morocco.
As for investments excluding frequencies and licenses, the group said they accounted for 25.6% of revenue, describing the achievement as in line with the annual target.
They were also impacted by the launch of 5G in Morocco.
Net operational cash flows, meanwhile, witnessed a 11% decline compared to the end of 2024 — standing at MAD 8 billion.
“This development is explained by the increase in investments, notably integrating the cost of the 5G license in Morocco and the renewal of licences in Moov Africa subsidiaries, with a cash impact of MAD 3 billion,” the statement added.
Maroc Telecom also said it consolidated net debt, which as of December 31, stood at 0.9 times the annual earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, also known as EBITDA.
The group celebrated the outcomes, stating that it confirmed its “strength of its model and execution capacity in a demanding competitive macroeconomic environment across all its markets” for the 2025 fiscal year.
For Maroc Telecom, this performance comes as part of its “rigorous cost management and strict financial discipline.” The group described these factors as a source of preserving high margins and strong cash generation.
Maroc Telecom called 2025’s achievements “important strategic milestones,” particularly recalling, in addition to the launch of 5G, the establishment of the joint ventures UniFiber and UniTower.
