Marrakech – Casablanca’s Casa Anfa district officially opened a large underground parking facility on Thursday, delivering 1,500 spaces across two levels and more than 46,000 square meters of covered surface.

The project was developed by the Agence d’Urbanisation et de Développement d’Anfa (AUDA), a subsidiary of Groupe CDG. The total investment reached MAD 270 million ($27 million), a figure that also covers the construction of a 2.5-hectare surface esplanade fitted with green spaces, kiosks, and restaurants. Construction began in August 2023.

The facility sits beneath the esplanade, freeing the surface for pedestrians and open-air activities. It offers four vehicle access ramps via Boulevard de l’Aéropostale and Boulevard des Musées, along with ten pedestrian entrances. The structure was designed to allow natural lighting and incorporates a natural ventilation and smoke extraction system.

The parking is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Rates start at MAD 6 ($0.60) per hour, with a decreasing tariff based on duration. Monthly subscription plans are available for employees, residents, and regular visitors.

Among the 1,500 spaces, 50 are reserved for electric vehicles with dedicated charging stations, 32 are allocated for people with reduced mobility, and 23 are set aside for two-wheelers.

The facility integrates a smart access and toll management system, a real-time space detection and signaling system, and an ambient sound system. A dedicated service area is also included within the infrastructure.

The parking is located near Casablanca Finance City, Anfa Park, Aeria Mall, and a concentration of office and commercial spaces. The surrounding area has been expanding steadily as one of Casablanca’s main mixed-use urban districts.

AUDA stated the project aims to ease traffic flow, improve parking management, and enhance safety and comfort for residents, workers, and visitors in the area.
