Rabat – Morocco’s phosphate giant OCP Group reported strong financial results for 2025, with revenues rising by 17% to reach around MAD 114 billion ($11.4 billion).
The group released a statement on its fourth-quarter results, attributing the growth to favorable market conditions and a recovery in demand across several importing regions, especially in India. The company also benefited from continued high prices for phosphate-based fertilizers.
OCP posted revenues of more than MAD 29.5 billion in the fourth quarter alone, marking a 6% increase compared to the same period last year. The group said this performance reflects its resilience in a market where demand became more moderate after some key regions had built up stocks earlier.
The results further strengthen OCP’s position as one of the world’s leading players in the phosphate and fertilizer sector.
The fertilizer giant said it continued to implement its development program, which focuses on expanding production capacity and advancing strategic projects. These include initiatives in water management and renewable energy. Capital expenditure exceeded MAD 9.1 billion during the fourth quarter of 2025.
Through this program, the group aims to improve its industrial flexibility and commercial dynamism, allowing it to better adapt to market changes and strengthen its cost competitiveness.
Founded in 1920, OCP Group is one of the largest producers and exporters of phosphate and phosphate-based products in the world. Morocco holds some of the world’s largest phosphate reserves, and OCP plays a key role in managing and developing these resources.
The company extracts phosphate rock, processes it, and produces fertilizers that are essential for global agriculture.
OCP operates several mining sites and industrial platforms across Morocco, including in Khouribga, Gantour, and Laayoune. It also runs major chemical processing facilities in Jorf Lasfar and Safi, where phosphate rock is transformed into phosphoric acid and fertilizers.
The group has several subsidiaries and joint ventures, both in Morocco and abroad. Through these partnerships, OCP strengthens its global presence and expands access to international markets.
Africa is a key priority for the company, as it has invested heavily in fertilizer blending plants and partnerships across the continent to provide customized fertilizers adapted to local soils and crops. The company works closely with African farmers to improve productivity and support sustainable agriculture.
In addition to fertilizers, OCP is increasingly investing in green energy and sustainable production. The group has announced plans to use renewable energy and desalinated water in its operations, and aims to reduce its carbon footprint and ensure long-term sustainability.
