Moroccan football player Achraf Hakimi spoke with pride and emotion after reaching a new milestone in his Paris Saint-Germain career, making his 200th appearance for the club in Friday night’s 3–1 win over Toulouse at the Parc des Princes.

The Moroccan international, who has become one of PSG’s most important players since joining in 2021, admitted the moment meant a great deal to him.“I’m very happy to play 200 matches with Paris Saint-Germain. This is a great honour for me,” Hakimi said after the match.

The 27-year-old right-back celebrated the landmark in the best possible way, helping PSG secure another important Ligue 1 victory in front of their home supporters.

Since arriving from Inter Milan nearly five years ago, Hakimi has established himself as one of the finest full-backs in world football. His pace, attacking threat, and consistency have made him a key figure in Paris, both on and off the pitch.

By the time he reached his 200th game, Hakimi had recorded 28 goals and 42 assists in all competitions, remarkable numbers for a defender and a clear reflection of his influence in the final third.

His contribution has also been crucial to one of the most successful periods in the club’s history, with the Morocco star playing an important role in PSG’s domestic dominance and their first Champions League title last year.

Hakimi’s leadership within the squad has continued to grow this season as well. Now serving as vice-captain, he has worn the armband on 11 occasions and has become one of the dressing room’s most respected voices.

Following the match, the special occasion was celebrated with a commemorative medal presented by club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.

Despite the celebrations, Hakimi was quick to shift his focus toward PSG’s next big challenge, with a crucial Champions League quarter-final game against Liverpool on the horizon.
