Agadir – Morocco’s National Agency for Social Support (ANSS) has joined the National Portal for the Right of Access to Information (PNDAI), aiming to strengthen transparency and improve public service delivery.

The agreement was signed today at the headquarters of the Commission for the Right of Access to Information (CDAI), during a ceremony chaired by CDAI President Omar Seghrouchni and ANSS Director General Wafaa Jemali.

A digital platform managed by the CDAI, the PNDAI enables citizens and foreign residents living in Morocco to submit and track requests for access to public information, as well as related complaints.

The system operates in accordance with Law No. 31.13 on the right of access to information.

The platform also provides public institutions and bodies under Article 2 of the law to process these requests while accessing data and performance indicators designed to improve service quality and enhance the overall efficiency of Morocco’s information access ecosystem.

ANSS joining the platform is a “structuring institutional choice. It reflects its commitment to upholding the right of access to public information, guaranteed by Article 27 of the Kingdom’s Constitution, as a lever for transparency and fairness,” the CDAI said in a press statement.

It said it expects the move to support greater transparency and equity, particularly in the sensitive and strategically important field of social support.

This agreement highlights a shared commitment between institutions to facilitate the exercise of the right to information as a constitutional right, the statement noted, stressing that it is driven by the urgency of contributing to the promotion of a culture of transparency within public service and to the improvement of its efficiency.”

This agreement came shortly after Morocco’s Ministry of Justice joined the PNDAI on April 1 which was the first institution to join the PNDAI.

“It brings information closer to citizens in a responsible and efficient manner, enhancing trust in justice and supporting the comprehensive reform process undergoing in our country,” said the Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi during that first signing ceremony.
