Moroccan prospect Ilian Hadidi is rapidly emerging as one of Europe’s most sought-after young talents. The 17-year-old midfielder, currently at Standard de Liège, is attracting strong interest from lots of top clubs across the continent at a moment when his contract in Belgium nears a crucial stage. His recent performances with Morocco’s U17 team have only intensified that attention.

According to Belgian outlet DH Les Sports, many elite teams are closely monitoring his situation. Real Madrid are said to have already made contact with people close to the player. In France, Paris Saint-Germain, Lille OSC and AS Monaco are all being linked. German heavyweights Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also in the race, and Ajax Amsterdam, PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord and Club Bruges complete a long list of interested clubs.

Hadidi stands out because he’s incredibly adaptable and mature for his age. While he’s mostly an attacking midfielder, his ability to slot in deeper as a central or defensive mid makes him a really flexible option for any lineup, giving coaches multiple tactical options. During the UNAF U17 tournament in March, he stood out for Morocco, earning Man of the Match honors in a 3-0 win over Algeria.

At club level, his development has been impressive. He has scored 6 goals in 15 appearances for Standard’s U18 team this season.

Standard de Liège, meanwhile, logically want to hold onto one of their brightest talents. The Belgian club is reportedly working on a contract extension that would include a pathway to the first team as early as this summer, in an effort to fend off growing interest.

With multiple European giants circling, the coming weeks could be decisive for the next step in Hadidi’s career.
