Rabat – Dani Ceballos is expected to leave Real Madrid this summer as several clubs have already initiated contact to finalize their proposals for the Spanish midfielder, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Ajax Amsterdam is leading a group of three interested clubs currently pursuing a deal for Ceballos as his departure from Real Madrid nears.

The 29-year-old has struggled to find consistent playing time in Madrid’s crowded midfield, leading to a secondary role throughout the season.

As the club prepares to rebuild the squad and integrate fresh talent, his departure this summer has become a near certainty for both parties.

The Spanish midfielder has played a minor role for Real Madrid this season, totaling just over 800 minutes across 22 appearances. Most of these outings were brief off the bench, leaving him without a goal or an assist so far.

Ceballos arrived at Real Madrid in July 2017 as one of the most exciting young talents in Spanish football. After being named Player of the Tournament at the Under-21 European Championship, Madrid beat out fierce competition from Barcelona to secure his signature for €16.5 million.

He joined from Real Betis on a six-year contract to begin his career at the Bernabéu. He went on to lift 11 trophies with the club, including three Champions League and two La Liga titles.

As the summer transfer window draws near, negotiations regarding the midfielder’s future are set to accelerate, with several interested clubs currently finalizing their valuations and preparing to submit formal offers to Real Madrid in the coming weeks.
