Rabat – Barcelona secured the Spanish league title with a decisive 2-0 win over Real Madrid at Camp Nou on Sunday night.
The win came in the 35th round of La Liga and confirmed the club as champions with three matches still to play.
Marcus Rashford opened the scoring in the ninth minute with a direct free kick. Ferran Torres doubled the lead in the 18th minute, finishing off a sharp attack that left Madrid chasing the game.
The early goals set the tone, and Barcelona controlled the match to seal the result in front of their home fans.
The win lifted Barcelona to 91 points, enough to guarantee the title regardless of the remaining fixtures.
With three games left, the team now has the chance to reach 100 points for the season. If achieved, it would be the second time Barcelona hit the century mark, having first done so in 2012–13.
This triumph marks Barcelona’s 29th league championship in club history and their second in a row under German coach Hansi Flick.
The back‑to‑back titles strengthen their position as Spain’s dominant side, while narrowing the gap with Real Madrid, who lead the all‑time list with 36 league trophies.
With the league secured, Barcelona will now look to finish the campaign strongly, aiming for the symbolic 100‑point milestone and setting the stage for next season’s defense of the crown.
