Rabat – Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has announced new organizational measures regarding the Round of 32 of the Throne Cup for the 2025-26 season.
The decision follows an inspection confirming that several host stadiums do not meet the required organizational and technical standards. As a result, these fixtures have been relocated to the rivals’ stadiums.
As part of these new measures, the Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat will host the match between Rachad Bernoussi and Fath Union Sport (FUS). The Grand Stadium of Tangier will meanwhile host the highly anticipated clash between KAC Kenitra and Ittihad Tanger.
In the meantime, the match between Raja Beni Mellal and Wydad AC will now take place at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca. And the Martyr Ahmed Choukri Stadium in Zemamra will host the fixture between Wydad El Serghini and Renaissance Zemamra.
The changes are essential to ensure the tournament is conducted under professional conditions, strictly adhering to FRMF infrastructure and logistical standards, stressed the federation’s statement.
Morocco’s professional football landscape has in recent years seen remarkable growth sustained by a comprehensive overhaul of its structural and regulatory standards.
Through a consistent framework of professionalization led by the FRMF, the league has moved toward greater institutional maturity and established itself as one of the best in Africa.
