FC Barcelona goalkeeper Joan García has been officially crowned winner of the Zamora Trophy for the 2025/26 La Liga season, delivering a string of commanding performances in a season for the history books.
García established himself as one of the most reliable goalkeepers in the league. From the opening of the season, he played a total of 30 matches and accumulated 2,790 minutes between the posts. He conceded only 21 goals during that run, maintaining an impressive average of just 0.7 goals per game, the best record in La Liga this season.
More than just numbers, García stepped up when it mattered; he managed to produce around 20 crucial saves that helped Barcelona stay solid in their title race. He is well known for his excellent positioning and shot-stopping ability, skills that became a decisive factor in the team’s defensive structure.
This marks García’s first Zamora Trophy, a perfect debut season with La Roja calling, and only time will tell what awaits him at the World Cup.
