Agadir – Global technology company Rainbow has announced its expansion into North Africa through the launch of a new regional hub in Mohammedia, turning Morocco into a strategic gateway to access the continent and its markets.
The new office will oversee Rainbow’s operations across Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya, positioning the company closer to regional markets and partners while strengthening its presence on the African continent.
“Rainbow is now in North Africa. A new regional hub in Mohammedia, Morocco – covering Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya,” Rainbow announced.
In a statement announcing the move, the company described the expansion as “global expansion with local purpose,” emphasizing its commitment to building regional connections and supporting local development through proximity and tailored solutions.
Rainbow Agro is an agrochemical company operating in the crop protection sector, specializing in solutions designed to help improve agricultural productivity and crop resilience.
Its portfolio typically includes products such as herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides used to protect crops from weeds, fungal diseases, and insect pests.
The company also engages in the development, production, and distribution of agricultural inputs for farming systems, working with growers and distributors across international markets as part of the broader global crop protection industry.
Morocco’s growing appeal as an investment destination is further reinforced by its significant role in international development and trade partnerships, particularly in strategic sectors such as agriculture, logistics, and industrial transformation.
The country has recently been selected by the United States for the $226 million Food for Progress 2026 program, an initiative aimed at strengthening agricultural productivity, modernizing value chains, and improving market access for farmers.
This large-scale program reflects international confidence in Morocco’s institutional stability, agricultural potential, and capacity to serve as a regional platform for food system development.
