Rabat – Morocco’s national team has left Monterrey, Mexico, and traveled to Houston, United States, to prepare for its 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 match against Canada.
The Atlas Lions made the trip on Tuesday after securing their place in the knockout stage. Morocco reached the Round of 16 after a thrilling match against the Netherlands in the Round of 32 via a 3-2 penalty shootout.
Before leaving Mexico, the team held a recovery training session indoors. The session focused on helping the players recover from fatigue and regain fitness after the previous match.
Morocco will face Canada on Saturday at Houston Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. (GMT+1), with a place in the World Cup quarter-finals at stake.
