Moroccan international Ayoub Bouaddi is continuing to attract interest, with several top European clubs reported to be courting the calendar this summer following his strong performances with Lille throughout the season.

Lille president Olivier Létang has urged the player to stay, citing his regular playing time at the club and the added advantage of Champions League football next season as key as the perfect environment for him to develop even more.

Létang added that he will sit down with the player to discuss Lille’s projections for the coming season, noting he considers him a key part of the club’s project going forward.

According to reports, Lille have already received a €50m offer for the player, but the club believes this is not enough for a player of Bouaddi’s quality.

Létang is said to be demanding a “very exceptional” proposal for any potential departure, with Lille showing no intention of letting him leave easily.

The Lille president confirmed in an interview with RMC that Ayoub Bouaddi has extended his contract until 2029, meaning he still has three seasons remaining at the club.

“Bouaddi renewed his contract until 2029, and he still has 3 seasons with us. He is a young player, 18 years old, and he is playing regularly in a Champions League team,” Létang said.

“Where else can he get this kind of playing time outside Lille? This is an important part of his project. We are in constant talks with the player, and our goal is clear: to keep him at the club. Any offer has to be very exceptional, because the real value of the player is much higher than the numbers being mentioned right now.”
