Casablanca — Moroccans selected to perform Hajj during the 1448H season will be able to pay pilgrimage fees between June 29 and July 10, 2026, according to the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs.

The ministry said the payment period applies to pilgrims selected through both the official organization system and licensed travel agencies. Payments will be accepted at Barid Bank branches across the country’s prefectures and provinces.

Pilgrims will be able to settle the fees either through a certified check or by electronic payment, the ministry said in a statement released on Tuesday.

The announcement concerns citizens whose names were drawn in the lottery for the 1448H pilgrimage season. The ministry also confirmed that the Royal Commission in charge of Hajj has set a provisional amount of MAD 65,000 for pilgrims traveling under the official organization system.

That figure remains indicative for now, as the final cost of the pilgrimage will be determined at a later stage.

The ministry also reminded selected pilgrims that they must undergo the necessary medical examinations before completing the remaining procedures. Those selected through both the official lists and travel agencies are required to obtain a certificate confirming that they are physically and mentally fit to perform the pilgrimage rites.

The certificate must then be presented to the competent services of the Ministry of the Interior in order to receive the official document confirming their selection.

Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and attracts thousands of Moroccan pilgrims every year. The payment process marks one of the key administrative steps for those selected to travel to Saudi Arabia during the upcoming pilgrimage season.

The ministry urged concerned citizens to complete the required procedures within the announced period and through the designated payment channels.
