Arsenal seeks to sign Moroccan international Ayyoub Bouaddi in the upcoming summer transfer window, as the player has become one of the most prominent targets on the London club’s table.
According to Sky Sports, Arsenal has been working on this file for several months, with ongoing contacts with the player’s surroundings since January 2025, as part of an early attempt to settle the deal before the competition intensifies. Arsenal’s goal is to strengthen their midfield.
Bouaddi is considered one of the most emerging talents in the French league, which has made him the focus of attention of many major European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain. The report said that the Moroccan international was slightly leaning towards the option of joining the Parisian club.
However, Arsenal are not backing down from the race. Coach Mikel Arteta believes that the player will be an important element of the team’s project, which has received a positive reaction from the Moroccan international.
An agreement is getting closer following positive steps in negotiations, with additional rounds scheduled after the World Cup, Lille have set the player’s value at €70 million, an amount that reflects his status as one of the most promising talents in Ligue 1.
Arsenal believe that their good relationship with Lille’s management, especially with president Olivier Letang, could facilitate the negotiations. The English club believes that the lack of direct competition with Lille within the domestic league compared to Paris Saint-Germain may give them an advantage in convincing the French management to release the player, if financial terms are set for both parties.
