Rabat – The Moroccan national football team was forced to alter its schedule on Thursday, moving its planned training session in Boston forward to avoid a wave of thunderstorms forecasted to hit the area.
According to El Botola, the Moroccan national team was originally scheduled to practice at 6 PM Boston time at the New England Training Center, but the session was rescheduled two hours earlier to begin at 4 PM instead.
This decision was made to avoid the upcoming bad weather and keep the national team’s preparation on track. By moving the session, the squad can train under the best possible conditions.
The team is using the early session to finish their tactical preparations ahead of the upcoming match against Scotland and finish their full workout before the severe weather arrives.
The Atlas Lions are set to face Scotland this Friday at 11 PM in a highly anticipated Group C match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Following their hard-fought 1-1 draw against Brazil, the Atlas Lions are looking to build on that momentum and capture their first win of the tournament. A victory against Scotland would put Morocco in a strong position to qualify for the knockout rounds.
With Scotland currently leading Group C after their 1-0 win over Haiti, and both Morocco and Brazil tied with one point each, the group remains wide open. Every point will be crucial as the teams battle to secure a spot in the next round.
