Agadir – Morocco has signed a partnership agreement to establish YouCode Errachidia, a specialized school dedicated to programming and information cryptography.
The agreement was signed during the fourth day of the inaugural Rally IA Future Lab in Merzouga, with the event focusing on artificial intelligence and digital innovation.
The initiative is part of Morocco’s broader efforts to enhance digital competencies, widen access to training in emerging professions, and advance the goals of the Digital Morocco 2030 strategy.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, the agreement brings together the ministry, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Governorate of the Draa-Tafilalet region, the Regional Council of Draa-Tafilalet, and the Leet Initiative.
The partnership aims to create, equip, and manage a training institution specializing in programming and information cryptography, with a particular focus on young people from the region, including school dropouts with talent and aptitude in digital technologies.
“The agreement aims to create, equip and manage a training institution specialized in programming and information cryptography, mainly aimed at the benefit of the region’s youth, including young people who have dropped out of school and have qualifications and talents in the digital field,” the ministry said.

The YouCode Errachidia project will offer a two-year training program designed to accommodate around 50 trainees per cohort. The school is expected to train approximately 100 students annually across its first and second-year levels.
Authorities said the initiative seeks to improve young people’s employability in modern technology professions while providing the information technology sector with qualified human resources capable of meeting labor market demands.
The ministry noted that the agreement embodies a shared determination to promote digital transformation in Draa-Tafilalet through an innovative educational model centered on practical learning, skills development, and stronger alignment between training programs and labor market needs.
The initiative also builds on the momentum generated by the Rally IA Future Lab, which the ministry described as a national platform for anticipating the future of artificial intelligence and digital innovation.
The project aims to contribute to the emergence of “a new generation of competencies capable of keeping pace with the digital transformation in the country,” the statement said.
