Rabat – Morocco’s national air carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), has announced a special air bridge to help fans travel to Boston and support the Atlas Lions in their highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup quarterfinal against France.
Royal Air Maroc said it will operate 12 special direct flights between Casablanca and Boston ahead of the match, which will take place on Thursday at Boston Stadium.
The additional flights will provide a total of 3,600 seats for supporters wishing to attend one of the tournament’s biggest matches.
The airline is offering a fixed round-trip economy fare of MAD 10,000, including taxes. The tickets are non-refundable and cannot be changed, RAM added.
Ticket sales began on Sunday, July 5, at 9:30 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets through Royal Air Maroc’s commercial agencies across Morocco or via the airline’s dedicated online platform.
The special flights come as excitement continues to build across Morocco ahead of the clash with France, with supporters hoping to see the Atlas Lions reach the World Cup semifinals once again.
Morocco and France will lock horns on Thursday in one of the tournament’s most anticipated quarterfinal matches. The game carries added emotional significance for Moroccan fans, as it marks a rematch of the two teams’ memorable meeting at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
In that tournament, Morocco made history by becoming the first African and Arab nation to reach a World Cup semifinal. However, their remarkable run came to an end after a 2-0 defeat to France, the defending champions at the time.
Now, nearly four years later, the Atlas Lions have a chance to write a new chapter against the same opponent.
Speaking at the post-match press conference following France’s win against Paraguay, coach Didier Deschamps described Morocco as a “very strong side,” adding that “No one reaches the World Cup quarterfinals by pure chance, and this is proof that they possess a lot of quality and potential.”
