Rabat – Yassine Kechta has signed a contract until 2030 with Leganés after the end of his adventure at Le Havre, Foot Mercato reported on Sunday.
The Moroccan midfielder is set to land in Spain after 128 games with Le Havre, with which he won the Ligue 2 title in 2023.
He was already close to Leganes last January, but the deal ultimately collapsed over minor technical details.
Born and raised in France, Kechta chose to represent Morocco, his home country. His choice of the Atlas Lions came at an early age.
He played with Morocco’s U16 team and was also part of the 2024 Olympic country’s squad, winning the bronze medal after their victory against Egypt 6-0.
His outstanding performances made him one of the most outstanding young talents in the Moroccan youth squad, before missing the U23 AFCON due to an injury.
