Agadir — The ClimateLaunchpad Morocco team traveled from Errachidia to Agadir early Thursday, completing the longest transition of its 2026 Regional Bootcamp Tour ahead of the final two-day program.
The group flew first to Casablanca before continuing to Agadir, using the quieter travel day to rest after the Errachidia bootcamp and prepare for the next cohort.
Bridgizz leads ClimateLaunchpad Morocco, the national chapter of the global competition powered by Climate KIC. Bridgizz also co-created Women in Cleantech with the German Agency for International Cooperation, GIZ.
The final bootcamp will take place on July 17 and 18 at the Cité de l’Innovation Souss-Massa in Agadir. The venue regularly hosts training, entrepreneurship, and startup-development activities within the region’s growing innovation ecosystem.
Preparing the final venue
Reda Boujliliba, project coordinator for Women in Cleantech, reconnected with the traveling team in Agadir and took charge of the final logistical preparations.
Boujliliba worked alongside Lamyae Afqir and Rim Hdioud, ClimateLaunchpad Morocco coordinator and marketing manager respectively, to review schedules, coordinate with the Agadir team of volunteers, prepare for possible logistical scenarios, and ensure that participants, trainers, and mentors would have the necessary materials.
“Reaching Agadir feels very special because it is the last stop of our Regional Bootcamp Tour,” Boujliliba told Morocco World News (MWN). “We started in Meknes, continued to Errachidia, and today we are here in Agadir.”
He said much of the project coordinator’s work happens away from the training room, including partner communication, venue preparation, participant support, and managing equipment and schedules.
The team had previously contacted Imane Douzi, head manager of Cité de l’Innovation Souss-Massa, about hosting the final stop. Douzi approved the request, allowing the organizers to prepare the venue for the incoming cohort. The innovation center already supports startups, research, technology transfer, and cooperation between universities and the regional economy, making it a natural setting for the tour’s closing stage.
After arriving, team members visited the site, arranged the training space, checked equipment, and organized the materials needed for the first morning.
Ahmed Larouz, head of ClimateLaunchpad Morocco and founder of Women in Cleantech, and Dutch cleantech trainer Ron Bloemers also attended a coordination meeting connected to the final program.
Souss-Massa’s green potential
Boujliliba plays a central role in preparing the Agadir stop and coordinating the work behind the scenes. Alongside Lamyae Afqir, he reviews schedules, manages communication with partners, prepares the venue, and checks that participants, trainers, and mentors have the materials and support they need.
“A lot of the work happens behind the scenes, from coordinating with partners and preparing venues to managing logistics and making sure participants, coaches, and mentors have everything they need,” he told Morocco World News (MWN).
The team also reviews different logistical scenarios before the bootcamp, anticipating possible changes involving equipment, timing, participant arrivals, and the use of the training space. After reaching Agadir, organizers visit the venue, arrange materials, check technical equipment, and coordinate the final details with the local team.
“It is a demanding role, but when you arrive on the first morning and see everything ready, the participants engaged, and the energy in the room, it is incredibly rewarding,” Boujliliba said.
For Boujliliba, the final stop also offers a moment to reflect on the work completed across Meknes, Errachidia, and Agadir. He says the tour’s success depends not only on the visible training sessions, but also on the sustained coordination required to connect regional hosts, mentors, coaches, entrepreneurs, and program partners.
“What makes me happiest is not only that we successfully organized three bootcamps across Morocco,” he added. “It is seeing the connections being created, the confidence participants gain, and the feeling that they are leaving with stronger ideas, new skills, and a supportive community around them.”
Boujliliba says the Agadir program will welcome 35 startups from across Souss-Massa, a region facing growing pressure on water resources while developing a strong agricultural and innovation ecosystem.
“For me, this is not the end of the journey,” he told MWN. “I hope it is the beginning of many success stories that will emerge from the entrepreneurs we have had the privilege to support.”
With the venue prepared and the logistics reviewed, the team ended the day ready to welcome the Souss-Massa cohort and begin the final stage of its journey across Morocco.
