Rabat – Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has reportedly signed a four-year contract extension with the English club.
The 26-year-old joined Manchester City’s academy at age 9 and became one of the club’s most outstanding talents.
Manchester City hopes that Foden will inspire the next generation of players with his experience and remarkable talent.
Meanwhile, the City midfielder has indicated he is excited to continue his journey with the club he has supported for a lifetime.
“Playing for this club is all I’ve ever wanted to do, and it’s always an honour to wear the shirt,” said Foden.
Foden expressed his eagerness to work with head coach Enzo Maresca again. “I can’t wait to work with Enzo; he is someone all players respect and love working with. It is exciting to have him back here”
Manchester City celebrated the talent of Phil Foden, one of its academy graduates, who has always been a proud fan of the club.
“Since making his first-team debut under Pep Guardiola in 2017, he has become one of the most decorated players in our history,” noted the club’s official page.
“He became the driving force behind our fourth successive Premier League title, scoring 19 times in the league alone.”
Foden has won 20 major honors with Manchester City, including six Premier League titles, five League Cups, three FA Cups, three Community Shields, as well as a Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.
