Rabat – Manchester City are intensifying their pursuit of Morocco’s Ayyoub Bouaddi, with reports suggesting the Premier League champions are preparing a massive €90 million offer to secure the Lille midfielder this summer.

The 18-year-old has emerged as one of Europe’s most sought-after young talents after an impressive season with Lille and a breakout campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, attracting interest from several top clubs. However, Manchester City appear to have taken the lead in the race for his signature.

According to Italian transfer expert Nicolò Schira, City have already reached a preliminary agreement with Bouaddi on the terms of a five-year contract that would keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2031. The deal now hinges on negotiations between the English champions and Lille over the transfer fee.

Meanwhile, British outlet talkSPORT reports that Manchester City are willing to table an offer worth around €90 million to convince Lille to part ways with one of their brightest prospects. Club officials are reportedly optimistic that they can reach an agreement before the end of the summer transfer window.

If the move is completed at that price, Bouaddi would become the most expensive Moroccan footballer in history, surpassing Achraf Hakimi’s €68 million transfer from Inter Milan to Paris Saint-Germain in 2021.
