Casablanca – After 10 successful years at Manchester City, English defender John Stones is very close to continuing his career in Italy.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Stones has given his verbal agreement to join Inter Milan on a free transfer. The 32-year-old defender is close to finalizing the terms of a two-year contract with Inter, with an annual salary of approximately 4 million euros.
John Stones is expected to travel to Milan in the coming days. He will undergo a medical examination and officially sign his contract.
Inter sees this transfer as an excellent opportunity to strengthen their backline with an experienced player.
John Stones, 32, played for Manchester City from 2016 to 2026 and contributed to the team’s many trophies, including historic Premier League and Champions League victories.
However, last season, due to injuries and strong competition, the defender only played nine Premier League matches. He now hopes to begin a new chapter in his career in Italy’s Serie A.
John Stones has also attracted interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, and Juventus following a strong World Cup campaign with England.
