Casablanca- Rangers are on the verge of completing the signing of Moroccan winger Couhaib Driouech from PSV Eindhoven after agreeing a deal worth around £7 million, according to The Sun.
The Scottish club intensified negotiations over the weekend after seeing an earlier bid rejected, with talks now understood to have reached the final stages.
Driouech is expected to sign a four-year contract, with an option to extend for an additional season, once the remaining formalities are completed.
The 24-year-old attracted interest from several clubs this summer, including La Liga side Celta Vigo and Premier League outfit Burnley, but Rangers have emerged as the frontrunners in the race for his signature.
The Morocco international was also left out of PSV Eindhoven’s squad for their weekend fixture against Fortuna Sittard, further fuelling speculation over his imminent departure.
Rangers manager Derek McInnes is reportedly keen to strengthen his attacking options on the wings ahead of the new campaign, with Driouech identified as one of the club’s priority targets.
If the move is finalized, the winger will arrive in Glasgow with UEFA Champions League experience, having featured for PSV against Europe’s elite and scored against clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool.
