Casablanca – Morocco’s national futsal team will continue its preparations for the 2026 Africa Futsal Cup of Nations with two friendly matches against Saudi Arabia later this month.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced that the Atlas Lions will face Saudi Arabia on Sunday, August 23, and Tuesday, August 25, at the Al Inbiaat Indoor Hall in Agadir.
Both matches will kick off at 7 p.m. Morocco time, giving head coach Hicham Dguig another opportunity to assess his squad ahead of the continental tournament.
The Saudi Arabia double-header comes shortly after Morocco completed a pair of convincing victories over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Morocco won the first meeting 6-0 on August 13 before following it up with a 6-1 victory on August 15 at the Mohammed VI Football Complex.
Those matches formed part of the team’s wider preparation program, with Dguig and his staff working to sharpen the squad’s physical and technical readiness ahead of the AFCON.
Morocco will host the 2026 Africa Futsal Cup of Nations from October 12 to 21, with the three-time African champions looking to maintain their position among the continent’s leading futsal sides.
The upcoming fixtures in Agadir will therefore offer another test against international opponents as Morocco enters the final stages of its preparations for the tournament on home soil.
