Temara – Manchester City have sold Tijjani Reijnders to Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadisia for around $70 million.
The Premier League club confirmed the transfer on Wednesday, with the Netherlands international signing a five-year contract with Al-Qadsiah.
The Saudi club is owned by Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s state oil company.
Reijnders joined City from AC Milan in 2025 and spent just over a year at the Etihad Stadium. His departure comes as City continue to rebuild their midfield following Rodri’s move to Barcelona.
The club has already brought in Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116 million and is continuing to explore further midfield options.
City are reportedly interested in Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández, while Lille’s 18-year-old Moroccan international Ayyoub Bouaddi is also among their targets.
Reijnders’ sale also gives City significant funds to continue their recruitment.
The Dutch midfielder joined the club for around £46.5 million and leaves for about £52 million, according to reports.
At Al-Qadsiah, Reijnders will work under former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers as the Saudi club continues to strengthen its squad.
The move marks another significant change in City’s midfield as the club looks to build a new team under manager Enzo Maresca.
