Rabat – Real Betis will continue to wait for Abdessamad Ezzalzouli’s return, with coach Manuel Pellegrini confirming that the Moroccan international is still not ready to play.
Ezzalzouli has started to make progress in his recovery from a knee injury and has recently returned to parts of team training. However, Pellegrini believes the winger needs more time before he can be considered for competitive action.
According to a press statement, the Chilean coach made it clear that the club will not rush the Moroccan’s comeback. Ezzalzouli is currently “not in a condition to play”, according to Pellegrini, stressing the importance of allowing the player to regain his full physical condition before returning to matches.
The cautious approach comes as Ezzalzouli continues his gradual rehabilitation. While his involvement in group training represents a step forward.
The coaching and medical staff want to ensure that he is fully recovered before clearing him to play.
His continued absence comes as Betis face a demanding period with several competitions on the schedule, including the Champions League.
