Casablanca – Apple unveiled the iPhone Duo last Wednesday alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, marking the company’s entry into the foldable smartphone market. Apple will open preorders on October 16 and start sales on October 23 in more than 70 countries and regions.
The Duo has a foldable, passport-style design. It measures 13.7 cm on the outer display and opens to a 19.3 cm inner screen.
Apple says both displays share the same aspect ratio, allowing content to move between them. The inner screen also features a nano-texture finish that Apple says reduces glare.
The phone uses a titanium frame and a precision hinge. Apple has given it an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The Duo does not include a physical SIM card slot and instead supports two eSIMs, including two active eSIMs at the same time.
Apple equipped the Duo with its new A20 Pro chip, which also powers the iPhone 18 Pro models. The chip uses a 2-nanometer manufacturing process and includes a six-core CPU, seven-core GPU, and dual 16-core Neural Engine. Apple also added a custom vapor chamber to manage heat during sustained workloads.

The company rates the Duo for up to 31 hours of video playback when users watch content on the inner display and up to 44 hours when they use the outer screen.
Apple says wired charging can take the battery to 50 percent in about 20 minutes, while MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging can reach the same level in about 30 minutes.
The camera system combines a 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera with a 48-megapixel Fusion Ultra Wide camera. It offers up to 2x optical-quality zoom.
Apple has also added functions that use the phone’s foldable design, including Smart Take for hands-free photos and Duo Preview, which shows a live camera preview on the outer display.
The Duo will also run iOS 27 and support Apple’s new Siri AI features, which remain in beta. Siri can access personal context from apps including Messages, Mail and Photos under supported features.
Apple says the system handles AI processing on the device where possible and uses its Private Cloud Compute system for tasks that require additional processing.
Apple has priced the 256GB iPhone Duo at $1,999 in the United States. The company has not yet announced an official price for Morocco, although local estimates currently place the starting model at roughly MAD 23,000 ($2,448) to MAD 26,350 ($2,805).
