Rabat – King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and Prince Moulay Ahmed, presided over a religious ceremony on Monday at the Mohammed V Mausoleum in Rabat to mark the 28th anniversary of the death of the late King Hassan II.
The ceremony featured Quranic recitations and religious praises dedicated to Prophet Mohammed.
King Mohammed VI and the members of the Royal Family also paid their respects at the tomb of the late King Hassan II.
Prayers were offered for the souls of Hassan II and his father, the late King Mohammed V, with attendees asking God to grant the two former monarchs His mercy.
The ceremony also included prayers for King Mohammed VI’s protection and for the success of his initiatives and efforts in the service of Morocco.
Attendees further prayed for the well-being of Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and other members of the Royal Family.
The ceremony brought together Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, the speakers of both chambers of Parliament, Royal advisers, government members, heads of constitutional institutions, senior officers of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, members of the diplomatic corps of Islamic countries accredited to Rabat, as well as other civilian and military officials.
