Khouribga – NBA Africa, Act4Community by OCP and EVOSPORT have launched the second season of the Jr. NBA/WNBA and NBA Basketball School programs in Morocco, with Khouribga among six cities taking part.
The program will run from September 2026 to May 2027 and involve 2,000 girls and boys across El Jadida, Benguerir, Youssoufia, Khouribga, Laayoune and Safi.
In Khouribga, young participants take part in basketball training and development activities that combine competition with skilldevelopment, teamwork and leadership.
The second season includes five Jr. NBA/WNBA leagues, five NBA Basketball Schools, basketball camps and clinics, urban tournaments, coach development programs, as well as regional and national finals.
More than 70 coaches have received training and certification based on NBA standards. Certified coaches led the sessions, with the program also aimed at strengthening local coaching capacity.
The initiative builds on its first season, which reached more than 2,000 girls and boys and concluded with national finals at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat during the sixth season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL).
The program forms part of efforts by NBA Africa, Act4Community by OCP, and EVOSPORT to expand grassroots basketball and support the development of young talent in Morocco.
