Casablanca – Cristiano Ronaldo has equalled Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah’s record of 16 continental goals for Al Nassr after scoring in the Saudi club’s 3-1 victory over Uzbekistan’s Neftchi Fergana in the AFC Champions League Elite on Monday.
The Portuguese forward found the net in the 42nd minute at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh which brought his reported tally in Asian club competitions level with that of Hamdallah, who previously led Al Nassr’s continental scoring charts outright.
According to Goal, the two forwards now share the club record with 16 goals each, while former Al Nassr midfielder Anderson Talisca occupies third place with 11.
Hamdallah established his record during his time with the Saudi club, where he became one of Al Nassr’s most depended on forwards. The Moroccan international joined the Riyadh side in 2018 and enjoyed a particularly successful spell in front of goal before his departure in 2021.

Ronaldo, who arrived at Al Nassr in January 2023, has accumulated his continental goals across several campaigns. His latest strike was his first in this season’s AFC Champions League Elite and leaves him one goal away from becoming the club’s outright leading scorer in Asian competitions.
Monday’s match also brought Al Nassr their first victory of the current continental campaign after a 4-0 defeat to Al Ain in their opening fixture.
Brazilian winger Angelo Gabriel put the hosts ahead in the 33rd minute before Ronaldo doubled their advantage nine minutes later. Neftchi responded through Alisher Odilov shortly after halftime, but an own goal from Anvarjon Gofurov in the 78th minute restored Al Nassr’s two-goal cushion.
The Uzbek visitors also finished the match with ten players following Ikromjon Alibaev’s dismissal in the 65th minute.
The result gives Al Nassr their first three points in the league phase, while Ronaldo’s goal places him alongside Hamdallah in a scoring record that the Moroccan striker had held alone.
