Rabat – Morocco is starring in the last fixture of the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nation (AFCON) 2025 as they get set to face Lesotho today at 8 p.m. Moroccan time at Stade d’Honneur in Oujda.  A win will guarantee the Atlas Lions a top spot finish in Group B with a perfect score.

Fans can catch the action live on BeIN Sport 2 Arabic and BeIN Sport France.

Following the commanding 5-1 victory over Gabon in Franceville, Morocco will be entering the fray in full confidence. Morocco coach Walid Regragui is expected to make some small changes in personnel by featuring rising youth talents in the starting lineup.

Noussair Mazraoui is in line to start ahead of Achraf Hakimi in the right back position after the PSG player returned to the club yesterday following a deal struck by the French club and the Moroccan federation of football (FRMF).

For left back, Adam Aznou was handed a senior debut in the hard-fought win against Lesotho in their last face-off in September. Today, the Bayern Munich left back is in contention to feature in the starting eleven ahead of Yahia Attiat Allah. At the same time, Reda Belahyane would also be pushing for more game time as a holding midfielder, should Regragui replace Sofyan Amrabat once the win is sealed.

Meanwhile, Soufiane Rahimi returns to the squad after purging his suspension. The wide forward is expected to run the right wing and create pockets of space for his teammates to get into scoring positions.

In their last meeting in Agadir, the Atlas Lions clinched a victory in their last breath of game thanks to a stellar effort from Brahim Diaz, who dribbled past two defenders before sliding the ball past the Mosotho goalkeeper.

Predicted Lineup

Yassine Bounou; Noussair Mazraoui, Jamal Harkass, Nayef Aguerd,, Adam Aznou; Sofyan Amrabat, Azzedine Ounahi, Brahim Diaz; Soufiane Rahimi, Eliesse Ben Seghir, Ayoub EL Kaabi.

Lesotho made it hard for the Moroccan attacking setup to create scoring chances when they sat deep and closed down spaces with a two-line defensive block.

Regragui will be hoping to break down the Lesotho defense by calling on the creativity and quick feet players such as Azzedine Ounahi, Brahim Diaz, and Eliesse Ben Sghir. Meanwhile, Ismail Saibari is in line to be introduced later during the match to bring in more spark and dazzling dribblings  against a Lesotho team on their last legs.

Predicted Score

Morocco 3-0 Lesotho
