Rabat – A massive fire broke out in a restaurant in the Sidi Boujida neighborhood in Fez on Friday night, causing significant damage.
The fire reportedly broke out due to an electrical malfunction in a cooking appliance. No casualties or injuries were reported, according to local reports.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the fire started with a short circuit, leading to an explosion and thick clouds of smoke. The flames spread rapidly, which prompted nearby residents to call for emergency services.
Firefighters and police arrived at the scene and were able to control the fire before it spread to neighboring buildings in the residential area.

Videos and photos shared online showed the intensity of the fire, with massive flames and thick smoke rising from the restaurant. After the fire was extinguished, additional images showed the extent of the damage, with the restaurant’s interior reduced to rubble.
