Marrakesh – American rapper Nicki Minaj has expressed her pride following the resounding success of her concert at the Mawazine Festival.

On her Instagram account, the star shared several photos from her performance on the OLM Souissi stage in Rabat.

“Approximately 200,000 people attended my concert at the Mawazine festival. It’s been one of my greatest experiences. Such an honor,” Minaj remarked.

Nicki Minaj described her Moroccan fans as experiencing the Moroccan equivalent of “Gag City.” This term represents the futuristic cityscape represented on her new album cover art.

This visual sparked the creation of “Gag City,” symbolizing a groundbreaking trend celebrated by her devoted fanbase, the Barbz, on Twitter with AI-generated images of enchanting pink cityscapes.

“Never would I have thought they would know who I was. But with God, all things are possible,” said Minaj, expressing her gratitude to “each and every one” of her Moroccan supporters.

“May all my fans be blessed. I love you all so much, and I will never forget the memories we created together,” she added.

Notably, the caption was filled with expressions of love, including the Moroccan flag, emphasizing the heartfelt connection Nicki Minaj shares with her admirers in Morocco.

Her Moroccan fans responded overwhelmingly to her message, expressing their gratitude and admiration for her stunning performance.

“How could we not know the queen of rap,” remarked one user, reflecting the widespread sentiment.

Another enthusiastically praised Minaj’s performance at the Mawazine Festival, stating, “We love you in Morocco, come back again,” expressing love and a desire for her return to Morocco for more shows.

Rabat’s Mawazine Festival is one of the largest in the world, and has on average welcomed 2.5 million people. However, its popularity noticeably declined this year. Many Moroccans boycotted the event, noting that it was inappropriate to attend a music festival while millions of Palestinians are dying in Israel’s war on Gaza.
