In addition, Hammouchi carried out intensive discussions with the Director General of the National Police (DGPN), Fréderic Veaux. The two officials reviewed advanced cooperation and coordination mechanisms in various security fields, particularly the proactive risk assessment and information exchange mechanisms in their joint efforts to ensure security during the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.

In recognition of the excellence of Moroccan-French cooperation in various security fields, Hammouchi was awarded the Gold Medal of Honor of the French National Police for his efforts in strengthening and developing common security cooperation.

The statement stressed that the visit provided an opportunity for both parties to explore ways to promote bilateral cooperation in several areas related to the fight against transnational crime, particularly drug and psychotropic trafficking, irregular immigration networks, human trafficking, and operational cooperation mechanisms for deploying and executing joint security operations.

The visit also underlines the importance of enhancing security cooperation between Morocco and France, which are engaged in several bilateral action and coordination programs to address common security challenges, the statement added.
