Rabat – The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that Morocco will experience relatively warm to hot weather this Saturday in several regions.

The heat will mainly affect the inland plains, the far southeast, the Rif mountains, the north of the eastern region, and the interior of the southern provinces.

Local fog is expected to form along the northern and central coasts, with possible light scattered rain over the Middle Atlas and the northern High Atlas mountains, especially on their eastern slopes.

Dust is likely to blow over the southeastern areas and the southern provinces, added the weather authority. In addition, moderately strong wind gusts are expected in the Tangier area and the southeast of the country.

Nighttime temperatures are expected to range between 23°C and 28°C in the far south and southeast, and between 13°C and 18°C in the Atlas mountains, the central plains, and the western parts of the southern provinces. Temperatures will range from 18°C to 23°C in other regions.

Daytime temperatures are expected to rise in the northwest, the Atlas region, and southern areas of the country.

Several Moroccan provinces have been hit by a heatwave, bringing unusually high temperatures across many regions. The extreme heat has been accompanied by unstable weather, including thunderstorms, strong winds, and sandstorms in various parts of the country.
